Umm.. excuse me!

It's midterms right now, and everybody's running about like mad looking for a spot to bust out their laptop and study study study.  I'm no exception to this lot.  Midterms sneaked up on me like a cat on the hunt.  Luckily I knew of a spot here at the UA in the Harvill building in the lower-level right next to the elevator.  There's a secluded room there with no door, it is quite literally a hole-in-the-wall, but in that room sits one desk and a chair.  Perfect for the 3-hour cram session that I hadn't planned for.  Normally by late in the afternoon this room would be taken, but today it's MINE!!  So as I'm listening to Ravel's "Bolero" and studying for my mid-term today at 3:30, this other girl walks in, sits up against the wall, and busts out her laptop.  Umm.. excuse me!!  This is a small room, and by the seating arrangements it was meant for ONE, who so happens to be me. Now.. I don't know who you are, but when you enter someone's place.. you at least greet the person and introduce yourself.  Thanks for being awkward about it, miss "invader of privacy."  (I really wish I could have said that).  Maybe I should make it even more awkward and start playing some Kenny G romantic sax solos.. that might get her to leave.

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Ahh!  My first blog post on this.. my very own blog site.  Sorry to any of you who thinks my layout sucks! I'm new to the world of web design.  In fact I suck at it.  So what?  I'm glad that Google tries to make it easy for you, what with their "click this" and "edit that" routine, as if you actually trust that the end result will be something close to desirable.  Perfect that the song I'm listening to on Jango while doing all this was Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King."  The song, to me, portrays one's ever-constant struggle to overcome every obstacle life throws at you.  "What?  You mean it DIDN'T automatically save after I hit the "Preview" button!?"  Like THAT one.
